I'm one of the organizers of a type 1 tournament that will take place in Valencia, Spain, the 4th of November. There will be given 8 Black Lotus and 8 Moxes in prizes among the top 16 players. You can check all the information in the link: http://www.demonio69.com/8_lotos/index.htm Sorry for writing in English, but I have quite no idea of French. 1 Tournament: 8 Lotuses Where and when? On Satudarday 4th of November, there will a super type 1 tournament organized by the High Stakes Magic association, in the Expo Hotel in Valencia, placed in the Pío XII Avenue, nº4. It’s placed in Nuevo Centro, one of the most crowded comercial zones of the city, and near the historic center. It counts with easy acces to the airport, Recinto Ferial, Palacio de Congresos and to the road web. It’s next to the Bus Station. We have had to change the hotel, because the Nh Center didn’t satisfy our needs. As a compensation for the possible troubles, we have improved a lot the level of the prizes. For more information, keep reading. Prizes 12000€ in prizes will be given among the 16 first placed players, distributed this way: • 1st-8th: Each player will win 1 Unlimited Black Lotus. • 9th-16th : Each player will win 1 Unlimited Mox (to be determinated). Format The format of the tournament will be Type 1 (Eternal) with a maximum of 10 proxies allowed per player You can check which cards are banned or restricted in the following link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x...ces/sfrvintage Proxies The proxies will have to include the name of the card and the playing cost (if it’s an spell). In the moment that you deliver the list of your deck, show the proxies to the organizers, so they will be able to check if they are valid. Photocopies won’t be allowed, as they make cards heavier, so they could be considered illegal. If you have any doubt during any game about the text or rules of a proxie or any other card, just ask one of the judges. Participation fee The participation fee will be 50€, which can be paid in the tournament or before, making a bank transfer to the account number 0182-0509-85-0201540886 (IBAN ES08 0182 0509 8502 0154 0886), BBVA bank, with Vedast Sanxis as the checking account holder. Don’t forget to specify your full name in the text box. Structure The tournament structure will be 8 to 10 swiss rounds of 50 minutes each. The number of rounds will depend on the quantity of players. There won’t be top 8, as each of the first placed players gets the same prize. We do that to ensure that each of the 8 players with better results get a great prize, as it is a Black Lotus. It makes that the best players get a good reward, instead of offering an structure with high differences between a position and another, as you can see in other events, the “ptq’s” for example. As the Black Lotuses will have condition differences, we’ll do a sort of draft with the 8 cards: the player that finished first in the tournament will be the first in choosing his card, the second will be the next, and so on. Each player will have a maximum of 2 minutes to choose their “pick”. The same will be done for the players that finish between the 9th and the 16th, as there will be different moxes and they will have different conditions. Side Events The tournament will follow a rules level 3, and there will be 4 level 1 judges. There will be side events, with a minimum of 8 players in each one. Different registration fees and formats, including drafts of editions and languages very difficult to see nowadays, as Korean Tempest, Japanese Onslaught or Japanese and German Urza’s Legacy. The prizes will depend on the participation fees. For example, we’ll be able to organize a 8-people tournament, 100€ each player, with an Unlimited Black Lotus first prize. Satellites Satellites will be placed around Spain, with a participation fee of 10€, in which the winners will get a paid seat and 2 byes for the 50€ event. In Valencia you will be able to participate in the shop Camelot. In Puerto de Sagunto (Valencia), in Neotem Ciber. In Málaga, Ángel Macías will be the organizar of these events. In Albacete, Ramón Sánchez will organize satellites. In Madrid, César Fernández, from Arte 9. In Cartagena, Raúl Talavera. We are negotiating with other Spanish shops, so we’ll add more cities to the list very soon. In Italy, in Piacenza, the shop Future City will organize satellites too. These tournaments can be of various formats and placed in different dates. Each of these organizers will count with 5 packs of 2 byes to share in the satellites that they organize. When all the byes have been given, there’ll be only paid seats prizes. We do it to limit the number of players with byes.
